In compliance with the restrictions official announcement made by Alberta Health Services on April 24, 2020, 4-H Alberta has made the decision to suspend all in-person activities and events until Wednesday, September 30, 2020. This also means that all in person summer camps, shows and competitions, and programs have been suspended and will not be delivered in their traditional manner

How does 4-H Alberta programs impact the 4-H youth? We have available for you to review the impact report on Summer Camps.

Virtual summer camps are designed especially for you! This summer, campers will get the opportunity to participate in a fun and interactive Jumanji themed summer camp using a blend of online and offline activities right from the comfort of their own homes!

Virtual Summer camps are tailored to you! They are designed to bring back the fun of summer camp while still promoting current health and safety guidelines. Campers will get the opportunity to participate in online and offline skill sessions, including cooking, outdoors, crafts, and science. All activities and sessions are planned around our central theme. This year, we have chosen Jumanji – Escape from the Jungle! You sign up for camp, we take care of the rest of your summer fun! You will be diving into an action-packed week of fun, learning new skills, growing your confidence, and making lifelong friendships. You will be participating in conversations and challenges with your Small Group, and having a blast during the skill sessions! Whether it be making a garbage bag kite and sailing it to the sky or looking high and low to get the most items in the scavenger hunt, the only thing we can promise is fun! Camp also includes evening activities such as a talent show to showcase your unique skills or a campfire. The best part? You get to do it all over again the next day!

If you have a friend that you think would love this camp, then you will be able to invite them to join the fun!

You will be instructed via a pre-recorded video so you can re-watch it as many times as you need. Staff will also be available during this time to answer any questions you may have. Once you have completed your amazing project, time to test it out!
