Tim Church

Area Director East/West Central

Tim Church grew up on a mixed farm in the Drumheller district and was a member of the Hesketh Orkney 4-H Beef Club, along with his five siblings.  His first provincial 4-H endeavor was the 4-H Foundation of Alberta Board of Directors, a Board he served on for twelve years as Vice Chair, Chair, and Chair of the Human Resources Committee. He was also Chair of the Marketing Action Committee, which focused on member and leader recruitment and retention. More recently, he was President of the Provincial 4-H Council of Alberta as a member at large. He also represented the 4-H Council of Alberta on the Steering Committee to develop the new 4-H Alberta organization, and has judged all levels of public speaking in all corners of Alberta and at Provincial Selections.

Tim has been employed by United Farmers of Alberta Cooperative Ltd. as a Petroleum Area Manager for many years, and continued to farm with his family on a part-time basis for several years.

Tim was honored to be inducted into the 4-H Alberta Hall of Fame in 2012. 4-H has always been important to the Church family, Tim’s father was a leader and was on the calf sale committee for many years.
