Bertha Kasbohm

Platinum Jubilee Medal Recipient

“A Devoted and Tireless 4-H Trooper”

With a lifetime of involvement in 4-H, Bertha Kasbohm has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to the organization. Growing up in a 4-H family, Bertha’s commitment began as a child when she joined the Echo Hill 4-H Beef Club in 1966. Her passion for 4-H continued as her own children became members of the Sunnibend 4-H Beef Club.

Bertha has held numerous leadership positions within the Westlock District and Northwest Region, always organizing or assisting with events. She has attended Leaders Conferences in Edmonton and worked tirelessly to ensure the success of the Westlock District Achievement Day, from organizing the event and trophy sponsorships to ensuring smooth operations in the ring and during the steer sale.

As a Key Leader, Bertha keeps leaders and members informed of provincial 4-H events and is always the first to step forward and help at functions, regional meetings, communication events, and casinos. Her dedication extends to chaperoning 4-H trips and participating in leader excursions, eager to meet new people and learn about 4-H in Canada and the United States.

While Bertha may seem gruff at times, her heart is always focused on the well-being of members and parents. Her family would attest that 4-H comes first in her life, solidifying Bertha’s status as a true 4-H Trooper.
