4-H Alberta South Region Club Update
If your club has not yet been approved, it’s likely that your leaders are not screened and trained. 4-H Alberta has been working with clubs since October 1st to meet these goals. If you have questions, contact your Area Coordinator!
- Members/families haven’t received their welcome email
- Your members may not be eligible to participate beyond the club level
- Your club may not be eligible for provincial funding
Please, please, please – reach out to your local Area Coordinator for help if you need it!
Thank you to all Leaders who have worked so hard to complete training and screening. We appreciate your dedication and drive to create a safe learning environment for our youth!
Please refer to the 4-H Alberta Reference Guide to confirm that you, your club and district are in good standing. Being in good standing opens doors to a fantastic 4-H year at all levels. It also helps you to be eligible for funding, awards of excellence,
South Region Reminders (Click on Active Links for More Information)
- If you have new leaders, please have them fill in an adult registration form and send it to me! I can open up a profile for them in the system and they can begin screening and training!
- Activities beyond the club level require an approved activity plan
- If your club has a high-risk activity planned, it too will need an activity plan
- Members can add a new project if they can meet the 70% attendance requirement. Many projects start later in the year, so if they haven’t missed activity deadlines, and your club approves a new project – please reach out to your area coordinator!
Being in Good Standing
- It is important to be in good standing at every level of 4-H Alberta.
- If you have any questions about what you need to do (as a Member, Club, District etc) to be in good standing, please consult the 4-H Alberta Reference Guide
- Share your thoughts on your record book with 4-H Alberta and your Provincial Advisory Committee – https://www.4hab.com/forms-surveys/
- The South Regional Council is seeking senior members and leaders to help organize the South Region Consumer Decision Making event. If you are interested, please contact Connie Harder.
