Lyanne Almberg

Lyanne has been a 4-H member since peewee involved in horse, beef and vet sciences projects.  She is a recipient of many awards including member trips, interprovincial exchange, and Alberta Girls Parliament.

4-H and leadership positions have, and continue to be a key part of Lyanne and her family’s life.  Lyanne is the current Past-President of the 4-H Council of Alberta, both of their kids were active 4-H members receiving platinum awards, and her husband Owen was a club leader, district council chair, and the BAC rep for EC. And Owen’s mother was a director of both the 4-H Council and the 4-H Foundation.

Lyanne is also an active community member currently serving on the local Ag Society board. She and Owen played a major leadership role in having the 4-H Pavilion built at Shorncliffe Lake, a project where the building group won the Golden Clover Award.  Lyanne is passionate about increasing the awareness of 4-H and empowering youth to with a safe, fun rewarding opportunity.

The Almberg’s own and operate Lazy HE Ranch, and extensive 4th and 5th generation, multi-family ranch and backgrounding feedyard operation.  The ranch was the recipient of the Hereford Commercial ‘Breeder of the Year’ award as well as the Simmental Commercial ‘Breeder of the Year’ award.
